WORKSHOPS
1. CONTAKIDS
In this workshop both child and parent, or another person related to the child, learn the method of moving that is based on the idea of consciously using close physical contact thanks to what they develop deep non-verbal communication. They dance, play and have fun, strengthening that way motoric skills and self-confidence in children (but also in adults).
Leader of the workshop, Till Frühwald completed studies in acting, is a member of the artistic organisation VRUM and licensed ContaKids teacher. In 2010 Till was named best young actor by the NRW Critics’ Survey and received the Ensemble Actor Award for production of “Demian – History of a Youth”, for the role of Demian. He is one of the founders of the Performing Arts Collective in Austria, with headquarters in Vienna.

2. EARTHEN MURAL
During the four days of the Festival a mural of snail – mascot of this-year’s Festival – will be created in this workshop. The mural will be created from mud mortar on a big wall.
Workshop is led by Dragana Kojičić, an independent architect with specialisation in earth architecture and who is a doctoral student in Stage design in Novi Sad. She has been organising numerous theoretical trainings and practical workshops for earth construction since 2010. She manages KFZ / Centre for earth architecture in Mošorin, and she is the mastermind behind the first Balkan Earth Conference and LALA Earthland festival.

3. MAGIC BEANS
Workshop is dedicated to analysis of the fairy-tale of the same name, and also incorporating it into urban garden. On one hand, structure of the fairy-tale, dramaturgy and artistic-wise, and the way it treats plants will be analysed, while on the other hand participants will have the task to submerge beans into water several days before coming to the workshop and observe and describe how it sprouts. By combining these two disciplines participants get to network their knowledge and creatively approach making a small urban garden on one side, and a fairy-tale on the other.
Workshop is led by Jelena Paligorić and Irina Somborac. Jelena is a playwright and drama writer. She has received Zmaj’s Award, Eurodram award, and an award by No Rules Publishing. Her scripts have been put on a play around the country and translated into English. Irina does puppet design and total design for theatre for children, working in the entire region.

4. 3000 YEARS ON EARTH
In this workshop we will turn planet Earth into a theatre stage. Firstly we will get to know life on Earth and the way the animals lived and live in communities and their natural habitats. Then we will travel 978 years into the future and imagine new creatures living in that time! Through collage and drawing we make moving paper puppets of them, giving them life by naming them, coming up with ideas on what they eat, how they live and what is most important for them, and we put them on the stage of small Earth.
Workshop is led by Asja Komadina and Konstantinos Petrović. Asja is a Bachelor of Applied Arts, with years-long experience in working with collage technique and love towards learning and teaching through playing. Konstantinos is also a Bachelor of Applied Arts. He has done creative workshops and painted a mural with children connected to the Association of persons with disabilities “Živimo zajedno”. He is currently employed at elementary school “Petefi Šandor” as arts teacher.

5. SOCK THEATRE
This is a workshop where we will turn our old socks into drama characters! Together we will make animals and use them as puppets that will help us make one fable come to life. We will talk about how to choose a drama script, what prop is, and how to creatively use something we would usually just throw away.
Workshop is led by Irena Antin, a directing student, and Vladimir Beljić, an acting student.

(I)M(PR)OVEMENTS
This is a drama workshop where, through playing and improvisation, children will give different sense to famous fairy-tales and fables or tell them from the perspective of a character who, in their opinion, may not have received an opportunity to tell their side of the story in the first version.
Workshop is led by actors Smiljana Marinković and Nikola Milaković. Smiljana graduated from the Academy of Arts at the University of Banja Luka in 2014. She worked at her alma mater as an assistant on subject Acting from 2015 to 2018. Since 2018 she has been a part of the acting ensemble of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska. Through various roles she has been with FEP from its inception. Nikola is a final year student of acting at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka and is actively doing beatboxing.

7. GREEN TRANSFORMATION IN CULTURE – WHY DO WE NEED IT?
This workshop has been designed in accordance with the current stand of the global cultural community that art, today, fulfils the role of social agent – not only by pointing at certain political and social problems on the level of narrative, but also through its overall business strategies and organisational culture it fosters. Through different parts, participants of the workshop will get to know basic characteristics of climate crisis and possibilities for re-designing approaches to production and conducting business, as elements and factors of green politicality of culture institutions. The workshop will also include presentation of unique green e-manuals for fields of theatre, movie and visual arts that has been realised by the initiative Green Art Incubator, with the aim to contribute to understanding the necessity and knowing about real possibilities for green transformation in the work processes, relying on current policies, as well as experience of previous successful practices from and outside of Europe.
The workshop is led by Jovana Karaulić, PhD, who works at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Department of Management and Production, and Vladimir Djurdjević, PhD, Associate Professor at the Department for Meteorology at the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade.

Intended for professionals in culture – managers, producers, as well as representatives of artistic organisations and institutions.
8. ASTRO BAČKA!
Did you know that people in the biggest cities can only see about a dozen stars in the sky, while people in the country or deep in the forests can see up to several thousands of them? In this workshop we will talk about what light pollution is and why it is preventing us from seeing the Milky Way from our balcony, and also why it is detrimental to our health. We will teach you to measure “night sky quality” from your own backyard and how to navigate with the help of your phone and find planets and stars you are interested in. Finally, you will look at the star closest to us, with the help of a telescope! Yes, believe it or not, we can look at the Sun through telescope but only with the help experienced astronomers. The workshop is organised in scope of the Interreg- IPA "Electra" project of the Faculty of Sciences.
Workshop is led by Dajana Bjelajac, PhD, assistant at the Faculty of Sciences and founder of the organisation Carpe Noctem" that is focused on the issues of light pollution.

9. PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE
Modern daily life brings many stressful moments. Still, when you are on the move, leaving your home in search of a better future all stressful moments get a new, more complex and stronger dimension. In this workshop we will talk about what influences stress levels, how to recognise traumatic experience and reactions to it yourself. Additionally, we will talk about what protection factors are, what we can do for ourselves, how and where to seek help.
Workshop is led by Slavica Ranisavljev Kovačev, a Master of Psychology, with experience with workshops, providing psychological support to persons who come from vulnerable groups and promoting mental health.

10. SELF-DEFENCE
“Just be safe!” – it has been said so many times and it is still one of the most common challenges girls and women face, especially those from vulnerable groups. Every person has the right to feel safe and protected, and in this workshop you will learn how to defend yourself in any situation and increase your self-confidence.
The workshop is led by Milan Trninić, Krav Maga instructor, founder and director of association Centre for civil safety “Street contact”, and Bojan Sekulić, assistant instructor.
